Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si Potential Reunion in New Drama as Cha Eun-woo Declines Role

Fans of Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si are buzzing with excitement as whispers emerge about another collaboration between the two talented actors. This time, they might be joining forces under the renowned Hong Sisters, the creative minds behind hit dramas such as “Hotel Del Luna” and “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.”

According to a report dated April 2, Lee Do-hyun has received an offer to feature in the Hong Sisters’ forthcoming fantasy-romance series. His agency, YUEHWA Entertainment Korea, has confirmed this casting proposal, stating, “It is a project that he received a [casting] offer for.”

Youth of May

On the other hand, Go Min-si’s agency, Mystic Story, revealed back in January that she was gearing up for this new project from the Hong Sisters. Should the collaboration materialize, it would be the third time Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si have worked together, following their efforts in “Sweet Home” and “Youth of May.” Notably, this project would also mark Lee Do-hyun’s second collaboration with the Hong Sisters, having previously starred as Go Chung-myung in “Hotel Del Luna” opposite IU.

Cha Eun-woo Passes on Role After Consideration

Initially, Cha Eun-woo was also in discussions for the same role, raising expectations for a sensational cast. However, an industry insider disclosed to Sports Chosun on March 11 that, “Cha Eun-woo was positively considering the Hong Sisters’ new project but ultimately opted out. Though discussions were serious, both parties have now moved on.”

This decision has garnered considerable attention, especially as Cha is currently involved in filming the Netflix series “The Wonder Fools.” His hesitance to immediately commit to another drama after this project raises questions regarding his future schedule and a possible shift in priorities.

An Exciting Reunion on the Horizon?

Currently serving in the Air Force military band, Lee Do-hyun is expected to conclude his service on May 13. Fans are eager to see if this upcoming project will symbolize his grand return to the screen following military duty. The on-screen chemistry between Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si has been remarkable in their previous collaborations, and a reunion under the Hong Sisters’ distinct storytelling framework could captivate a broad audience.

Although essential details regarding the title, genre, and complete cast remain undisclosed, there is significant anticipation surrounding whether Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si will accept their roles. The prospect of yet another star-studded K-drama could be just around the corner!
