During the episode, Lee Hyori conveyed her excitement about being on the show, stating, “I usually just listen at home, but it’s nice to be able to join today. I can check on what my husband is doing by listening to the radio every day at home, so I’m happy. I listen with the thought of praying every day to make sure he’s not saying anything strange.” Her lighthearted commentary reflected her genuine affection for her husband.

Enjoying the Little Things in Life

When host Lee Sang Soon inquired about any noticeable changes in their lives, Lee Hyori mused, “Lee Sang Soon is always so calm, so there hasn’t been much change. But that’s what I really love about him.” She expressed that while there are no drastic shifts in his role as a DJ, she believes that even minor imperfections can add charm, stating, “I think a little mistake is what makes perfection.”

Lee Hyori shared that her cooking skills have evolved significantly since she started preparing meals for her husband. She described her culinary experiments, stating, “It’s been about two months since Lee Sang Soon started DJing, and it’s been about two months since I started cooking for him. I truly respect all the housewives in Korea. Choosing the menu is tough. From my perspective, I really want to cook different dishes.”

Her recent culinary adventure led her to Noryangjin Fish Market, where she ended up purchasing 160 deodeok fish over three trips. “He said it felt like eggs were going to come out of his mouth,” she recalled, humorously capturing the essence of her cooking efforts.

Insights on Domestic Life

Expressing her culinary style, Lee Hyori noted, “I realized I’m a big-handed cook,” to which Lee Sang Soon humorously responded, “You have big hands and work really fast, so you make a lot of side dishes. I’m fine with just one or two simple ones.”

She reflected on the emotional aspects of being a housewife, saying, “I always try to make one more side dish, but hearing this reaction, I realized that being a housewife isn’t physically exhausting, but mentally lonely.” Her honesty about the emotional challenges highlights a common yet often overlooked aspect of domestic life.

Since their marriage in September 2013, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon have maintained a relatively private life, stepping away from the media spotlight.
