Linkin Park’s New Single Unveiled as the 2024 LoL Worlds Anthem

Linkin Park has officially been announced as the band behind this year’s League of Legends anthem, titled ‘Heavy Is The Crown’. This marks not only their second single since reuniting but also their contribution to the Worlds 2024 song.

With Worlds 2024 approaching, fans can expect yet another electrifying anthem that captures the spirit of the year-end tournament. The anticipation has been palpable for weeks as fans speculated about which renowned artists would be behind this year’s theme.

In previous years, artists such as Zedd, NewJeans, and Imagine Dragons have created iconic tracks for the event, and this year, Linkin Park takes the spotlight.

The excitement began when Linkin Park introduced their new lead singer, Emily Armstrong, who stepped in after the passing of Chester Bennington. The LoL Esports X account (formerly Twitter) expressed enthusiasm for their return by replying with a crown emoji.

Fans quickly uncovered that Linkin Park’s upcoming album includes a song titled Heavy Is The Crown, perfectly aligning with the theme for Worlds 2024.

As Riot Games teased the new track, Linkin Park treated fans with a live debut performance in Hamburg on September 22, providing a glimpse of what the Worlds 2024 anthem would sound like.

It has since been confirmed that Heavy Is The Crown will serve as the main anthem for Worlds 2024, with the full music video set to debut on September 24 at 8 AM PT.

Additionally, there are suggestions that Heavy Is The Crown might feature in the soundtrack for Arcane Season 2, according to League of Leaks on X.

This potential inclusion isn’t surprising, as Imagine Dragons featured prominently in the first season of Arcane, making it plausible that Linkin Park’s new song could also be part of the upcoming season’s soundtrack. However, fans will have to wait until the new season’s release to confirm its appearance.

Currently, the only available version of the song comes from fan recordings of the live performance. The full track and its official release are anticipated on September 24.
