Firestone is a rare mineral in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, essential for crafting powerful armor and weapons that inflict fire damage. If you’re eager to track down some Firestone, this guide will provide you with all the necessary information.
Finding Firestone in Monster Hunter Wilds
The primary location for discovering Firestone is at the Mining Outcrops in the Oilwell Basin. To locate these areas, refer to your Detailed Map. Unlike regular minerals, Firestone deposits will not be visible on the ground; instead, they are embedded within rock formations adorned with blue crystals. Keep in mind that these ores are relatively scarce and mostly found in the Oilwell Basin region.

To efficiently locate Mining Outcrops across various zones, open your Detailed Map and select the button labeled in the bottom left corner. This will allow you to access Filter Icons. From there, scroll down until you find Mining Outcrop in the list and enable it. This action will highlight nearby Mining Outcrop locations on your map, and you can scroll through to view all available sites.
Keep in mind that if you’ve already harvested from a particular Outcrop, a cooldown timer will appear next to it, preventing further collection until the timer resets.

Once you have identified a Mining Outcrop, set a waypoint to guide your path. If luck is on your side, you may find Firestone Ores within the Outcrop. There’s no need for any tools like pickaxes; simply approach the Mining Outcrop and interact with it to collect the Firestone. You can gather up to three pieces per harvest, with a 15-minute timer before they reappear.
Additionally, if you allow your companion to gather resources first, you might secure an extra Ore when you subsequently harvest from the Outcrop.
