Mark Cuban made a surprise appearance on a Pokimane stream, addressing the rumor that he never actually placed a charity bid for a gaming session with her.
In an unexpected merger of personalities in the streaming world, the entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner stepped into a stream hosted by Pokimane, who was collaborating with fellow content creator Valkyrae. Together, they welcomed Senator Bernie Sanders for a chat on Twitch.
Before Sanders joined the discussion, the stream featured notable guests like VTuber Sykkuno, Mark Hamill, and of course, Mark Cuban. During the stream, Cuban took the opportunity to clarify a persistent query concerning his alleged bid.
At the yearly charity auction hosted by CDawgVA, an extraordinary offer of $200,000 for a gaming session with Pokimane was allegedly placed by a bidder using the name Mark Cuban. However, during the Sanders stream, the man himself confirmed that he did not make that bid.
Pokimane inquired about the $200k bid for gaming with her, and Cuban replied, “you know it wasn’t me because it wasn’t high enough” 😭😭 pic.twitter.com/Jin7ZG9SLS

“That was not me,” Cuban stated firmly, then lightening the mood by adding, “I would have paid any amount. You know it wasn’t me because the bid wasn’t high enough.”
With an estimated net worth of $5.7 billion, Cuban’s playful remarks weren’t just bravado. One viewer remarked, “I’ll never understand why anyone would pay to play a video game with someone,” commenting on the enormous sums brokered during the charity auction. Meanwhile, other users on X humorously suggested Cuban might be a “secret tier 3 subscriber”to Pokimane’s channel.
Following the CDawgVA charity stream, it was revealed that several absurd bids for gameplay with Pokimane were fraudulent, with some made using stolen credit cards in an attempt to contribute as much as $500,000.
It is quite likely that the supposed Mark Cuban bid fell into this category, given that the actual winning bid for a session with Pokimane ended up being $30,700. This amount was donated by VTuber and Twitch streamer Claudia Moneta, who ultimately contributed $68,200 during the event. Perhaps we might see the authentic Mark Cuban making a bid at the next charity auction.
