The much-anticipated Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 has officially launched, introducing players to the vibrant Golden Coast island. This new map features an impressive total of 13 points of interest (POIs) that players can explore and surf their way through. With the Battle Bus temporarily sidelined, players must now scavenge the island for bus parts to repair it, all while engaging in fierce battles to secure that sought-after Victory Royale and earn the exclusive umbrella.
Weapons alone may help you survive, but the latest season introduces an exciting twist: players can now transform into powerful bosses during their matches! This new feature equips players with unique abilities and weapons that can decisively influence the game’s outcome. If you’re eager to embrace the thrilling role of a boss, here’s a comprehensive guide on how to do just that in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1.
Identifying Boss Locations in Fortnite Chapter 7
To successfully become a boss in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, players must defeat any of the three bosses scattered throughout the island: Hush, Brutus, and Human Bill. These bosses spawn randomly at various locations across the 13 POIs, making their exact whereabouts unpredictable.
For your convenience, we have compiled a list of potential spawn locations for these bosses:

- Painted Palms
- Pumping Station Landmark (near Painted Palms)
- Paws Inn Landmark (adjacent to Wonkeeland)
- Sunset Falls Landmark (south of Wonkeeland)
- Innoloop Labs
- Humble Hills
- Ripped Tides
- Classified Canyon
Steps to Transform into a Boss in Fortnite
Once you spot a boss on your mini-map marked with a skull icon at one of the identified locations, your objective is to attack them using your weapons. Be prepared to eliminate their two henchmen before taking on the boss directly.
Based on our encounters, here are some tips for defeating each boss:

Hush is typically found at Painted Palms, and she can be easily taken down from close range due to her use of a mythic AR. Approach her with a shotgun for the best chance of victory. Brutus generally appears at the Pumping Station Landmark and can be targeted from a mid-range distance as he wields dual shotguns. Lastly, Human Bill is usually spotted at either Innoloop Labs or Ripped Tides; take him down using long-range tactics due to his mythic Arc-Lightning Gun.
Once you’ve defeated a boss, they will drop various mythic weapons and medallions which you can interact with. To transform into the boss, get close to the medallion and press the interact button. This transformation will not only make you larger than your opponents but will also change your appearance to that of the boss you defeated. However, be aware that your location will be marked on the map throughout the match, and you won’t be able to pick up another medallion or revert the transformation unless you are eliminated.
Boss Weapons and Medallion Abilities
Here’s a summary of each boss’s weapons and abilities you’ll gain upon transformation:
| Boss | Mythic Weapon | Medallion Ability |
|---|---|---|
| Hush | Hush’s Deadeye Assault Rifle | Hush’s Kit: Increases stamina and vitality, allowing for quick dashes. |
| Brutus | Brutus’ Twin Hammer Shotguns | Beach Brutus’ Kit: Offers increased stamina and regenerating shields. |
| Human Bill | Human Bill’s Arc-Lightning Gun | Human Bill’s Kit: Reduces gravity’s pull, enhancing mobility. |
