McDonald’s Launches Exciting New Frappe Flavors for Fall Season

McDonald’s has recently unveiled two seasonal offerings perfectly curated for the spooky autumn season, but they are available exclusively in Japan.

When we think about festive frappes, our minds often gravitate towards the popular pumpkin spice beverages seasonally featured by Starbucks and Dunkin’. It’s safe to say that McDonald’s doesn’t typically rank among our preferred choices for fall drinks.

This year, however, the chain is stepping up its game with the introduction of two new frappes that are sure to evoke all the cozy autumn vibes. Unfortunately, if you were eager to sample these new beverages, they are currently only available in Japan.

The Japanese branch of McDonald’s shared a social media post showcasing these exciting new products, inviting customers to “Feel Autumn coming” with their latest offerings.

The new frappes draw inspiration from classic seasonal flavors and are offered in two delightful varieties:

  • Apple Caramel Frappe – This drink features a rich blend of sweet and tart apple flavors, enhanced with black tea extract and topped with a generous serving of whipped cream and luscious caramel sauce.
  • Grape Frappe – Unique to this offering, the Grape Frappe utilizes Kyoho grapes, which are immensely popular in Japan. Known for their exceptional sweetness, these grapes make for a perfect dessert-style frappe. This frappe is generously topped with whipped cream and grape-flavored pearl chocolate for an added crunch.

Alongside the beverages, McDonald’s Japan is also introducing a Salty Butter Caramel Macaron to enjoy while sipping on the new frappes.

Both frappes are set to officially launch on September 25, priced at an affordable 490 yen, which is approximately US$3.50.

This isn’t the only international release stirring envy among U.S. McDonald’s fans; earlier this September, Starbucks Japan announced the introduction of a sweet potato-flavored coffee.
