McDonald’s has announced an exciting new range of specialty beverages that will be available in select locations across the United States, paving the way for a broader launch on May 6, 2026. This initiative represents one of the most significant updates to the McDonald’s beverage menu in recent years, adding six innovative drinks that go beyond the traditional soda and coffee offerings.

Introducing a Fresh Beverage Lineup

The upcoming beverage selection features an appealing mix of three Refreshers and three expertly crafted sodas. Each drink is designed around vibrant fruit flavors, signature cold foam, and novel add-ins such as popping boba, providing consumers with a refreshing and delightful drinking experience.

Details of the New Drink Offerings

The newly introduced beverages include:

  • Strawberry Watermelon Refresher: A refreshing blend of strawberry and watermelon flavors paired with lemonade and topped with freeze-dried strawberries.
  • Mango Pineapple Refresher: This drink combines luscious mango and zesty pineapple with lemonade, enhanced by strawberry popping boba.
  • Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher: A fruity mix of blackberry and passion fruit that features lemonade and freeze-dried dragon fruit for an extra twist.
  • Sprite Berry Blast: This bubbly refreshment features Sprite infused with blue raspberry syrup and a layer of cold foam.
  • Orange Dream: A unique pairing of Hi-C Orange Lavaburst and vanilla flavor topped with cold foam.
  • Dirty Dr Pepper: This characterful drink layers classic Dr Pepper with vanilla flavor and cold foam for a creamy finish.

As stated by Alyssa Buetikofer, McDonald’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, “Our fans have an obsession with beverages – to them, drinks are more than just drinks. And soon, our beverages won’t just be a reason you come to McDonald’s, they’ll be the reason. We’ve taken the time to get this right, introducing new drinks that are hand-crafted with bold flavors and quality ingredients, so our fans can taste in every sip. Only McDonald’s can bring that kind of experience to life consistently across nearly 14, 000 restaurants, every single day.”

In conjunction with the beverage launch, McDonald’s is also unveiling a series of limited-edition accessories. Collaborating with designer Susan Alexandra, the chain has created six uniquely designed beaded drink carriers. Not only do these carriers hold beverages, but they also serve as stylish accessories, each featuring a $10 McDonald’s Arch Card.

Additionally, to coincide with this beverage release, McDonald’s will introduce a Stranger Things-themed Happy Meal in celebration of the launch of its new series, Tales from ’85, just one day prior to the official drink rollout.
