Excitement is in the air as the highly anticipated Megabonk patch has been released, reintroducing the leaderboard functionality that many enthusiasts have eagerly awaited. Alongside this, a series of essential balance adjustments have been implemented, aimed at refining gameplay.

The return of the leaderboard follows a prior removal necessitated by cheating issues that allowed players to exploit it. Fans have also been looking forward to critical fixes for certain characters, notably Bush and Spaceman, which were previously underperforming.

Significant Changes to Joe’s Dagger

A key highlight in this update is the adjustment made to Joe’s Dagger. The developers announced:

“Joe’s Dagger now has a max damage increase cap of 200 per minute. So if you have 10 daggers, that’s a max of 2000% damage per minute. This means it’s unchanged early and mid game, but very late game it’s not gonna be the only viable option anymore. Before this change, you could get 20 000% damage in 10 seconds, which nothing else in the game could contest lol.”

This damage cap ensures that while Joe’s Dagger remains a strong choice, it will not dominate the game’s late-stage mechanics. Players can still leverage its power effectively, as it now competes with other top-tier items rather than overshadowing them entirely.
