Mike Tyson Reveals He’s Taking Mushrooms While Training for Jake Paul Fight

Mike Tyson, the iconic boxer, is using a rather unconventional method to prepare for his upcoming fight with Jake Paul — by getting high.

In November, a live-streamed match between Mike Tyson and YouTube personality Jake Paul is set to take place on Netflix.

Although their initial bout was set for the summer, it was delayed due to Tyson’s ulcer flare-up. However, he is now focused on regaining his fighting form and has adopted a distinctive training approach to defeat the ‘Problem Child’ in the upcoming fall match.

During a recent episode of Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast on August 20th, Tyson disclosed a major aspect of his training routine, admitting that he consistently incorporates psychedelic mushrooms into his preparation for matches.

Despite being in the middle of the episode, co-host Mike Majlak asked if he was still taking them during his training camp, and he promptly pulled out a bag of dried mushrooms.

“Tyson stated that he consistently incorporates mushrooms into his training routine, emphasizing the importance of including them in his regimen.”

“Wait, what?”inquired Logan, clearly taken aback.

“Tyson reiterated, “I work out using mushrooms because it makes me feel beautiful. It’s like I’m transported to heaven, baby.”

Logan inquired with Mike if he would still be consuming mushrooms on the evening of his bout with Jake. The renowned fighter responded, “If I am not actively taking mushrooms, I will still have the effects of previous mushroom consumption.”

The topic was introduced at 14:21.

Mushroom residue, as stated by ScienceDirect, refers to the byproduct of mushroom processing and may potentially be present in Tyson’s system during the fight.

As stated by the US Anti-Doping Agency, the substance psilocybin, which is found in magic mushrooms and has psychoactive properties, is currently not prohibited as a performance-enhancing drug. Therefore, it appears that Iron Mike will be adhering to the regulations for his fight against Jake.

Despite his previous openness about his recreational drug use, Tyson’s podcast, “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,”frequently features the former boxer lighting up alongside other well-known individuals.
