On April 25, Min Hee-jin held a press conference in which she disclosed several pieces of information concerning the ongoing feud between ADOR and HYBE.
The CEO of ADOR emphasized that she had done nothing wrong and additionally brought up various “wrong-doings”committed by HYBE.
Min Hee-jin specifically voiced her discontent with HYBE’s choice to include Sakura and Kim Chaewon in the group LE SSERAFIM. She stated, “NewJeans was originally presented as HYBE’s debut girl group. Hyein had many opportunities to join other groups, but she chose to join ADOR because of its promise to be HYBE’s first girl group.”
“She also revealed that HYBE had cast Sakura and Kim Chaewon without informing her, which greatly upset her. She even expressed her anger to the point of considering resignation and telling them that she could not continue working.”
Despite being planned as the first girl group to debut under HYBE, NewJeans ended up losing their chance to hold the title when former IZ*ONE members Sakura and Kim Chaewon were recruited by Source Music and debuted with LE SSERAFIM before them.
