On May 19th, Min Hee-jin released a statement addressing recent issues through the media, which included a meeting with Naver and Dunamu as well as the controversy surrounding her Kakaotalk messages.
Min Hee-jin emphasized, “Despite the trials and tribulations that come with these processes, NewJeans and I have grown closer than just a family. Our bond has strengthened and our relationship is more than meets the eye.”She confidently stated that her connection with NewJeans goes beyond what others may assume.
After being attacked by distorted Kakaotalk conversations, the members of NewJeans showed their support by sending messages full of love. They continued to do so until the next morning. I cried not because people misunderstood and cursed me, but because I felt sorry for those involved in such a terrible situation. It’s unfortunate that people are easily deceived by malicious actions, but the real issue lies with those who spread false information. The fault does not lie with those who believe it. Instead, if one truly cares for NewJeans, they should try to avoid dragging the members into these ridiculous issues as much as possible.
Min Hee-jin also stated that HYBE had conducted a preliminary forensic examination on her laptop, which she had returned to the company two years ago upon leaving. She expressed concern that HYBE had invaded her privacy by looking into her personal life and sharing information among themselves, which was then included in the audit document. She questioned the relevance of events that occurred before the establishment of ADOR to this audit. Furthermore, she noted that during the court proceedings, HYBE selectively read out certain personal conversations in a provocative manner, despite knowing that the media was present. While she was not present during the interrogation and only heard about it later, she finds it disturbing that HYBE would go to such lengths to damage someone’s reputation by violating their privacy
Despite HYBE disclosing my personal history before ADOR’s establishment to the public and taking the Deputy CEO’s laptop without permission in an attempt to attack me, as well as threatening the Deputy CEO with criminal responsibility, I was also pressured by the company to hand over my personal cell phone and had private conversations edited and leaked to the public, all unrelated to the main issue. Despite these irrational and cruel actions, HYBE still released articles claiming to have the members’ best interest in mind. However, I can’t help but doubt their true intentions behind the audit.
The ongoing disagreement between ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin and the parent company HYBE continues.
