Min Hee-jin Shares the Reason Behind Consulting a Shaman About BTS’s Military Service

At 3 p.m. on April 25th, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin held an impromptu press conference at the Korea Conference Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, in response to sudden developments involving HYBE.

On the 22nd, HYBE revealed the findings of their audit on ADOR’s efforts to gain control of management. As a result, HYBE obtained evidence that ADOR was seeking independence from HYBE at the direction of CEO Min Hee-jin and subsequently filed a complaint against ADOR executives.

HYBE also announced that CEO Min Hee-jin has been consulting with a shaman for guidance on company management, including employee recruitment. The shaman, known as Shaman A, has been communicating with Min Hee-jin through messages and is said to have a strong connection with the female CEO.

Specifically, HYBE revealed that Min Hee-jin consulted a shaman about BTS’s mandatory military service and expressed her opinion, stating, “I believe it would be more advantageous for me if BTS were to enlist. It would be beneficial for me to have them absent.”

During the conversation with the shaman, Min Hee-jin expressed, “As a mother, I was solely focused on the well-being of NewJeans, as if they were my own children. I am exhausted with HYBE. Wouldn’t it be more beneficial for NewJeans to promote while their ace is absent? That is my personal view. I will take legal action against HYBE. And the shaman happens to be a close friend of mine. Is it not acceptable for me to have a shaman as a friend?”

Min Hee-jin responded to the accusation of attempting to gain control of management rights by expressing her dissatisfaction with unfair treatment. She had brought up the matter of ILLIT, a newly debuted girl group under a different HYBE label, BELIFT LAB, and asserted that ILLIT had plagiarized NewJeans.
