Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 3 Recap

Upon waking up from a nightmare, Taiyo Asano is filled with anxiety about Mutsumi’s well-being. He turns to Futaba and implores her to aid him in becoming stronger, determined to be able to defend Mutsumi. However, the white-haired girl firmly reminds him that as a non-Yozakura, it is not feasible for him to rapidly gain abilities.

Despite revealing that she had trained for three years to master Aikido and Jujitsu, she agrees to Taiyo’s persistent request on the condition that he stays in the Yozakura mansion for one month and undergoes mock training.

It turns out that the Yozakura mansion is equipped with numerous traps used for spy training. Nevertheless, these traps can be deactivated by a member who successfully navigates through each one. And so, Taiyo’s grueling daily routine at Yozakura’s begins.

Despite his desire to quit, Taiyo’s determination to protect his childhood friend continues to drive him forward. However, there comes a point where he begins to doubt his own strength.

Despite Taiyo’s insistence, Mutsumi reminds him of the time he saved her from bullies at school and reassures him that he has always been her protector. Therefore, she kindly requests that he not push himself too hard.

Eventually, after three weeks, Taiyo successfully disables almost all of the traps except for the one on the bathroom door. Unfortunately, he becomes extremely fatigued and collapses from a fever. Futaba discovers that Kengo, Nanao, and the rest of their group have been aiding Taiyo in concealing his injuries.

As she scolds them, the main character admits that he was the one who pleaded for their assistance. Futaba proceeds to advise Taiyo Asano that in order to safeguard Mutsumi, he must prioritize his own protection.

Rather than seeking out quick fixes, he should demonstrate patience, which is an essential element of the training.

Despite her initial underestimation, Futaba comes to the realization that Taiyo is the ideal person to safeguard Mutsumi.

After an entire month, the protagonist successfully passes all of the tests and his Cherry Blossom ring brightly flashes, indicating that the house has officially welcomed him as a member of the family.

As the episode concludes, Futaba offers her congratulations to Taiyo for passing all of the tests. She reminds him that this means he is now ready to begin his true training as a Yozakura.
