Mizkif Addresses Serious Allegations from Ex-Partner Emiru

Popular Twitch streamer Mizkif, whose real name is Matthew Minaudo, has publicly responded to serious allegations of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and blackmail threats made by his former partner, Emiru. This statement came during an October 25 livestream, just hours after Emiru discussed their tumultuous relationship on her own stream.

During the 40-minute session, Mizkif reflected on the breakdown of their relationship, attributing part of the strain to accusations he faced in 2022 regarding an alleged cover-up of a sexual assault incident—claims that were later dismissed in court. He stated, “I know I wasn’t perfect with my language or tone throughout this entire relationship. I know I wasn’t, and I was aggressive at times.”

Mizkif elaborated on the complexity of their dynamic, asserting that he became increasingly distant from Emiru as their relationship deteriorated.“The fights from these times started to get worse. I constantly wanted to be farther and farther from her. I would use her for content but wanted to be alone afterward. I didn’t know how to end things properly, ” he explained.

Furthermore, Minaudo raised concerns about Emiru’s responsibility towards the pets they shared, specifically their rabbits.“Emiru has a lot of rabbits. These were a significant part of her life, but as they moved from her room to the living room, they faced severe neglect. Despite my reminders, she failed to care for them, leading to many deaths, ” he stated.

The streamer also addressed his perceived controlling behavior during their relationship, admitting to having made comments about Emiru’s attire and her interactions with others.“I told her to stop wearing pajamas on stream, to be cautious about stalkers, and even to refrain from discussing her past relationships. My main concern was her safety, ” he said, attempting to justify his actions.

In an acknowledgment of his shortcomings, Mizkif said, “I know I could have done better, and I’m sorry. I recognize my control issues and realize I should have ended the relationship sooner. Confusion clouded my judgment.” He described the last nine months as especially toxic, where his desire for space clashed with Emiru’s insistence on closeness, which often led to further conflict.

Confronting the Sexual Assault Allegations

Addressing the sexual assault allegation specifically, Mizkif recounted a moment after their breakup when they briefly reconciled.“After cuddling, I began to advance, believing she consented as she mentioned on her stream. When she yelped, I panicked and left immediately, regretting that I didn’t apologize at the time, ” he shared.

Closing his stream on a noteworthy note, Mizkif took a moment to clarify his actions at a party they both attended post-breakup.“After 10 months apart, I recognize we’re better off without each other. I want to emphasize that I was not following her or lingering around. I had my own group the entire night, ” he stated, aiming to dispel any misconceptions.

In response to their relationship, Emiru declared she was pursuing a restraining order against Minaudo. Concluding his remarks, Mizkif expressed his wishes for her well-being, stating, “I truly hope nothing but the best for Emi. While I believe some of her statements are untrue, I still wish her the best and apologize for the events that transpired.”
