Mizkif Expresses Gratitude to Fans for Shielding Him from Harassment at TwitchCon Meet & Greet

Mizkif took to X to express his gratitude to fans who stood up for him during an unexpected meet-and-greet at TwitchCon after an aggressive streamer attempted to harass him.

TwitchCon San Diego occurred from September 20 to September 22, attracting streamers from around the globe to the convention center for a fun-filled gathering.

However, the event was marred by incidents where IRL streamers from Kick were seen harassing notable figures such as xQc, nmplol, and Extra Emily.

OTK co-founder and Twitch sensation Mizkif shared his experience in a post on X, detailing how he nearly canceled an impromptu meet-and-greet after spotting a streamer coming to harass him.

“Outside TwitchCon, I was doing an impromptu meet and greet. A line began to form as people saw I was outside. As I was outside, a streamer approached me to harass me and our community,” he recounted, expressing that he felt “powerless” in the moment and almost decided to call it off.

Fortunately, his viewers came together to shield the Twitch star from the harassment by raising their bags and backpacks to obscure the harasser’s view.

“I was about to discontinue the meet and greet, but as I stood there in line, I noticed a few fans forming a protective circle around me. They continued to protect me from the harassment by holding their bags and backpacks up,” he explained.

“Even amidst the chaos, the line didn’t falter; people kept coming through, taking pictures and sharing stories as if nothing was happening. I was able to complete the meet and greet as the protective group around me expanded,” he added.

Mizkif concluded by thanking his community for their unwavering support “despite my flaws” and for continually choosing to watch him.

Fans flooded the comments section to share their perspectives on the encounter, with many praising the community’s spirit.

While Mizkif’s experience resulted in a heartwarming display of fan loyalty, another incident involving a Kick streamer escalated to the point where police were called.

Kick streamer Shoovy reported an incident where another creator from the Stake-owned platform physically assaulted him by pushing him into a moving train outside the San Diego Convention Center.
