Despite facing a lawsuit for defaming the K-pop girl group NewJeans in the past, the YouTube user known as Middle7 has recently resurfaced and posted a provocative video mocking the entertainment company HYBE.
The dispute originated in April when NewJeans’ agency, ADOR, sued Middle7 for disseminating defamatory material about the group. Despite temporarily disappearing from the platform in response to the legal action, Middle7 has since reappeared and reignited the ongoing conflict.

Middle7 recently posted in the YouTube community, proudly declaring their belief that they are invincible:
“It wasn’t intentional, but I only used the ISP’s IP address. According to the information provision order, the period requested by HYBE for the IP address was in October of last year, and at that time, I was not living at my registered address. If Google can help a bit more with the timing, I might not get caught.”
The post additionally featured an image of Jang Wonyoung, a member of IVE, along with a sarcastic caption labeling her as “Lucky Vicky,”further adding to the mockery of the situation.
A number of internet users have shared their opinions on the issue, with one commenter specifically pointing out the difficulties in locating these elusive individuals.
“Even someone like Sojang, who left traces everywhere, was hard to trace by IP and was only able to be tracked down after three attempts. So, catching someone based on an empty account and ISP IP would be more difficult.”
Another individual mentioned possible difficulties that may arise in the legal proceedings, acknowledging that:
“Google might not readily hand over the information, and even if they do, the ISP’s IP retention might expire by that time.”
Despite facing these obstacles, ADOR remains determined in their mission for justice. They have already filed an application with a California federal court to compel Google to reveal the identity of the person responsible for the Middle7 account. The court has yet to make a decision on this matter.
