Despite being alone in his fight against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One until this point in the My Hero Academia manga, Deku finally received much-needed support from Shota Aizawa and his classmates from Class 1-A of U.A. High. Despite their own exhaustion from battling, witnessing Deku’s determination to save the world motivated them to persevere in their fights.
Despite the combined efforts of Denki Kaminari, Minoru Mineta, Mezo Shoji, Koji Koda, and Momo Yaoyorozu in chapter 420 of the My Hero Academia manga to save Deku, it is Momo who holds the greatest possibility of being the key to defeating All For One, even with Deku rejoining the fight after regaining his Quirks.
Momo Yaoyorozu: The Key to Defeating All For One in My Hero Academia
Despite Deku’s successful attempt at purging the deep hatred from Tomura Shigaraki, his efforts were ultimately futile as All For One resurfaced and seized control of Shigaraki’s body. As a result, Shigaraki’s consciousness was observed fading into a dark abyss.
It is still uncertain if Shigaraki’s “death”has been confirmed, leaving the possibility open for his return at any point during the ongoing battle to reclaim control of his body. This leaves only two possible outcomes for the fight – either the Heroes will make another attempt to rescue Shigaraki, or they will determine him to be too hazardous to remain alive while under the possession of All For One.
Despite everything Deku has endured in his attempts to reach out to Tenko Shimura, it is highly improbable that he will give up on saving him once more. Therefore, the narrative is most likely leading towards the first scenario, where the Heroes strive to rescue Shigaraki from the grasp of All For One.
In this situation, Momo Yaoyorozu is an extremely valuable resource, as her abilities could ultimately decide the outcome of the battle. With her Creation Quirk, she is able to manipulate the molecular composition of her fat cells to produce any inanimate object. However, in order for her to successfully create something, she must have a thorough understanding of its molecular structure.
Despite this, Momo requires a significant amount of food to fully utilize her Quirk. Due to her prolonged battles against the villains, Momo appeared visibly fatigued and not physically prepared to confront someone as powerful as All For One.
Despite her exhaustion, she managed to muster enough strength to duplicate the restraints that imprisoned All For One in Tartarus. This would give Deku another opportunity to rescue Tenko. While her makeshift restraints may not be as advanced, they could potentially be effective since All For One’s abilities have been weakened by the absence of Shigaraki’s Decay Quirk.
To make this scenario a reality, Momo must have a clear understanding of the appearance of the restraints in Tartarus. If her calculations are even slightly incorrect, they may not be sufficient in restraining All For One for an extended period of time.
Therefore, it is not necessary for Momo to directly engage in a face-to-face confrontation with All For One in order to turn the tide of the battle. Her role as a support could ultimately be the determining factor in the outcome of the fight. By providing support, Momo would enable Deku and the rest of the team to make one final attempt to reach out to Tenko Shimura and ultimately defeat All For One once and for all.
