On May 3, ‘mamajen’, a popular TikToker with the username @livingthrulove, gained viral attention when she shared a video of herself throwing ice into the bathtub while in the bathroom alone. The video has now surpassed 14 million views and is still counting.

Despite her attempt to reduce stress and calm down by throwing ice, she still received criticism for her coping mechanism.
“One person commented, ‘If I witnessed my mom doing this, I would be terrified.’ Another person agreed, saying, ‘I would definitely run away if I saw my mom doing this.’”
Despite the controversy, there were also numerous supporters who stood behind the mother’s actions and expressed that they had wished their own mothers had resorted to throwing ice instead of resorting to unhealthy methods of venting their anger.
