Confirmed Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Characters

NetherRealm completed the Kombat Pack 1 roster with the addition of Takeda in July 2024. The initial pack boasts a complete lineup of characters, including the following.

Kombat Pack 1

Ermac is a character in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise.

Ermac, the renowned character, was believed to be created due to a glitch in the original Mortal Kombat game – known as the Error Macro bug. Eventually, Ermac was developed into a fully-fledged character, complete with ninja attire.

Quan Chi is still the same person.

Ever since his debut in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, Quan Chi’s mind-bending abilities have made him a beloved character among fans. A master of sorcery, Quan Chi has consistently remained a vital part of the franchise, and this was no exception in MK1.

Takeda Takahashi is still the same person.

Takeda Takahashi, a recent addition to the MK universe, was originally portrayed as the son of Kenshi. However, in Liu Kang’s reimagined world, Takeda is now a member of the Yakuza and the cousin of the blind ninja.

Homelander is a character who is well-known and respected by many.

It was unexpected to see The Boys franchise make its debut in Mortal Kombat, especially after Homelander’s appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This serves as a testament to the immense popularity of the series.

Despite being viewed as the face of America, Homelander is far from it. As arguably the strongest superhero in The Boys, this despicable “hero”seamlessly falls in line with the MK universe.

One who promotes peace

John Cena portrays this character in both The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker TV series, depicting a morally ambiguous hero with some villainous tendencies. Additionally, his inclusion also means that we get to see John Cena in Mortal Kombat. It’s difficult to dispute the excitement that brings.

Omni-Man is the same person.

The roster of MK1 was not limited to just comic book characters. Omni-Man, who possesses superhuman strength, super speed, and is virtually immune to pain, was the first guest fighter to be included. This made him a formidable Kombatant in the game.

Kombat Pack 2

NetherRealm announced at SDCC 2024 their Year 2 roadmap for Mortal Kombat 1, which will feature the introduction of six additional guest fighters. The list of these fighters can be found below.

Cyrax is still the same person.

Cyrax makes a comeback in Mortal Kombat as a gender-swapped variation of the beloved cyborg character. While not much information is available about Cyrax in the new timeline, the Khaos Reigns expansion trailer hints at a potential test of her allegiance to her leader, Sub-Zero.

The sector

The red cyborg first made an appearance in Mortal Kombat 3, alongside Cyrax. They were both originally seen in MK1 as cameo fighters, but the upcoming DLC signifies their comeback as playable characters. It seems that these two cybernetic ninjas will once again clash with each other.

Noob Saibot is still the same.

Voice actor Kaiji Tang will once again lend his voice to the character of Noob Saibot, now known as Bi-Han. It is uncertain how this will affect the original Sub-Zero from MK1. However, according to a previous press release, Titan Havik has taken control of Sub-Zero’s soul and transformed him into a henchman with the goal of creating chaos.

Conan the Barbarian is a well-known character.

After much speculation, this highly anticipated character will finally join the Mortal Kombat franchise. What’s intriguing is that this sword-wielding hero, known for his magical abilities, is the second character to be based on Arnold Schwarzenegger in an MK game. (Previously, MK11 introduced the Terminator T-800 from Terminator: Dark Fate.)

The model T-1000.

The iconic T-1000 from the original Terminator sequel, Judgment Day, will soon make an appearance in the fight. Actor Robert Patrick has been confirmed to reprise his role for this highly anticipated addition.

Ghostface is still the same.

The infamous Ghostface from the Scream franchise has also been featured in previous leaks related to MK1. He joins the ranks of other iconic horror figures such as Freddy Krueger, The Predator, Jason, and Leatherface in challenging the roster of Mortal Kombat.

For the Year 2 release rollout, Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot will be joined by Khaos Reigns on September 24. Launch dates for Ghostface, Conan, and T-1000 have not yet been announced by NetherRealm.

Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns
