Motorola has finally begun to distribute the Android 13 update for the Edge 30 Pro.

Motorola has listened to consumer feedback and began bringing out the latest Android 13 version for its high-end phone, the Edge 30 Pro. Google released Android 13 to the public nine months ago, but Moto customers are still waiting for the upgrade. Motorola released a list of phones eligible for Android 13 in December, with a release date of “early 2023.” Nonetheless, we are now in the fourth month of the year, and the first Motorola phone has received the much-anticipated Android 13 upgrade.

Motorola is seeding the updated firmware on the Edge 30 Pro with the T1SH33.35-23-20 version number, which is approximately 1.60GB in size. The information was supplied by a Brazilian YouTuber, Linuxbrs, and I have checked other social media channels, including Reddit, and the update is in the process of being implemented. For the time being, it is only available to customers in Brazil and Mexico; a wider deployment is expected soon.

The Moto Edge 30 Pro Android 13 update brings a slew of new features, including a redesigned personalization panel with support for more color palettes, an updated notifications panel, a redesigned Music Player, Bluetooth LE audio support, a per-app language feature, app notifications permission, and many more.

If you have the Moto Edge 30 Pro and are looking for the new Android 13 upgrade, go to Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and check for new updates. While it is still in the rolling phase, you may have to wait a few days for the official OTA notification. It is a significant improvement that you can connect your phone to WiFi to reduce download time.

If the update is not available, you can either wait a few days or manually update it. Before updating your phone, make a backup of vital data and charge it to at least 50%.
