MrBeast Faces Blacklisting by Vegas ‘Beast Games’ Staff Due to Health and Safety Issues

Staff members who participated in MrBeast’s ‘Beast Games’ game show in Las Vegas have described it as the “most unprofessional production” they’ve ever encountered, suggesting that MrBeast might face future blacklisting from large-scale projects.

First announced in March 2024, YouTube sensation MrBeast has produced his inaugural game show titled ‘Beast Games’, which is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

In this exciting competition, two thousand contestants vied for a staggering $5,000,000 prize pool, with filming allegedly wrapping up in September.

However, the production has been mired in controversy, as participants have filed a detailed 50-page lawsuit against MrBeast, citing “inhumane conditions” . At least one contestant was hospitalized due to an incident where a piece of the set fell on them.

MrBeast and Amazon are currently facing a lawsuit from five contestants involved in the ‘Beast Games’ production.

On September 26, 2024, Las Vegas 3 News reported an interview with local production staff, including several anonymous sources, who advocated for MrBeast’s blacklisting and criticized the production as “unprofessional” .

Rick, a production worker, expressed that it was evident MrBeast’s team lacked experience with a production of this scale, describing the situation as “beyond embarrassing” and stating he wouldn’t be shocked if they were “blacklisted from the industry.”

“It was, by far, the most unprofessional production I’ve ever been part of,” Rick asserted, pointing to the “terrible” communication that pervaded the set.

3 News gathered insights from numerous employees working on the Las Vegas set, revealing that poor communication adversely impacted everyone, including medics responsible for managing the contestants’ medications.

Mona, a medic, shared that her team was stationed at the Rio and Luxor casinos, only to discover that some contestants were located in nearby casinos. These contestants purportedly had their belongings collected by production staff, who assured them their items would be delivered to the “appropriate department.”

“Their belongings were supposed to be turned in to us and never were,” Mona recounted to 3 News. “…There was no communication. Everything was done on the fly. We lacked a clear understanding of the expectations, or even if they knew what they were expecting. It was evident that this was not well-planned, as not all information was provided.”

The publication also conversed with “contestant wranglers” Kara and Hannah, who criticized the production following multiple concerning incidents. Kara recounted that one contestant approached her team with a sleeping bag that was reportedly contaminated with excrement from a cleaned porta potty.

Kara alleged that a MrBeast producer instructed an unnamed wrangler to address the mess and allegedly threatened termination if they hesitated. “That’s a major OSHA violation,” she remarked. “You don’t ask individuals to clean porta potties in that manner.”

Kara further lambasted the production, labeling it “unprepared.” She stated, “I’ve never participated in a production that was so unprepared. There were no systems in place for anything. It was [impossible] to get an answer out of anyone.”

Conversely, Hannah reported that one contestant suffered a seizure and was allegedly left without medical assistance for nearly an hour.

This isn’t the first instance of Las Vegas production staff critiquing the conditions during the filming, either. On September 17, Rolling Stone reported on staff members who likened the situation to the disastrous Fyre Festival, condemning the production for its “deplorable conditions.”

As it stands, MrBeast has not responded to the allegations put forth by staff and contestants from the ‘Beast Games’ amidst the ongoing lawsuit.
