The developers of Modern Warfare 3 have addressed the delay of the highly anticipated Aftermarket Part for the Reclaimer 18, stating that it will only be pushed back by a short amount of time.
In recent years, the Call of Duty developers have made adjustments to several longstanding elements. Both Create-A-Class and weapon unlocks have been modified, with the latter receiving some unique additions in Modern Warfare 3.
In the past, leveling up a weapon was necessary to unlock new attachments. However, there are now universal attachments that can be unlocked for a set of weapons, as well as Aftermarket Parts.
The use of Aftermarket Parts in Modern Warfare 3 has already resulted in several problems. Certain parts have significantly increased the power of weapons by enhancing their firing rate and damage capabilities, while others have been deemed as useless from the start.
When Season 5 Reloaded was announced, players were eagerly anticipating the new AMP for the Reclaimer 18 shotgun. According to the original roadmap, this new feature would allow players to use the shotgun in Akimbo mode and was scheduled to be released in Week 7. However, this has since changed.
However, the developers have decided to delay it by a week from its original release date. In a post on Reddit, they announced, “The JAK Devastators will now be available next week as a Blueprint reward in Week 7. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Sledgehammer, on the other hand, did provide a glimpse of the new weapon inspection animation that players will have access to once the akimbo shotguns are added to the game.

Despite this, a few fans expressed their worries about the kit. One fan commented, “As usual, it will probably be overpowered for a week and then nerfed.”Another fan predicted that it will remain “super strong”for the remainder of Modern Warfare 3’s cycle.
Despite the inconvenience of having to wait an extra week, fans of MW3 can still look forward to reliving some MW2 nostalgia soon. The JAK Devastators have not been permanently shelved and will be available for players to enjoy.
Additionally, the Black Ops 6 beta is still available for players to try out. Therefore, there is an abundance of content for players to engage with.
