MW3 Retro Warfare Event: Start Date & Free Rewards

The Retro Warfare event is being held in honor of the start of Season 4 Reloaded for Modern Warfare 3. This event presents an opportunity for players to earn numerous free rewards.

The latest update during the middle of the season introduces a wealth of fresh multiplayer material, including the highly coveted Reclaimer 18 Shotgun. However, it is the Bit Party mode that is garnering the attention of players. To further emphasize this pixel-inspired mode, the developers have organized the Retro Warfare event, which will commence on a specific date and operate in a particular manner.

Start & end date

The Retro Warfare event for MW3 will commence on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 and will continue until Wednesday, July 3. This means that it will start as soon as Season 4 Reloaded is launched, allowing players a full week to earn all the rewards.

This event will take the place of the ongoing Fallout: Vault Dwellers event that was happening during the latter half of Season 4.

How to earn rewards

During the MW3 Retro Warfare event, you can easily earn free rewards by playing matches and accumulating XP. Unlike other in-game events that require completing specific objectives, this challenge simply rewards players for their regular gameplay.

The Season 4 Reloaded blog announced that there are 10 distinct rewards available, each linked to a specific milestone. XP is tallied after each match and the prizes will become accessible once the required amount has been accumulated.

To expedite the process, the developers have clarified that an XP “boost”will be granted to players who have an Operator equipped from the Tracer Pack: 8-Bit Blitz Bundle. The exact amount of the boost has not been revealed, but it is expected to be consistent with previous events, averaging at 2,500 XP per match.

Expected Rewards

We can’t be certain of the rewards for the Retro Warfare event until it commences, but the final and most significant reward is anticipated to be a pixel-themed camo. In addition to this, here are the other potential prizes that may be available:

  • Calling Cards
  • Emblems
  • Large Decals
  • Weapon Stickers
  • Charms
  • Double XP Tokens

We will provide a complete list of rewards and instructions on how to obtain them once the event is live.

The recently released Season 4 Reloaded brings a significant update to Modern Warfare 3. Not only does it include the Bit Party Modem, but it also introduces players to the Mutation and Havoc game modes, along with the new Sledgehammer weapon.
