MW3 Rifle: A Powerful Weapon in Warzone After Buff, But There’s a Catch

The marksman rifle in Modern Warfare 3, known for its powerful capabilities, has been upgraded even further in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded. However, there is still a small catch to be aware of.

Despite the release of COD Next and the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone continue to thrive with regular updates and modifications.

The Warzone meta has once again changed with the introduction of the Season 5 Reloaded update, particularly in the battle royale aspect. Currently, the Striker, Pulemyot 762, BAL-27, and Static-HV are the top-performing weapons in Urzikstan, but there are other viable options as well.

The current meta is incredibly open and the MCW 6.8 is on the outskirts of that. According to Warzone expert WhosImmortal, this semi-automatic marksman rifle is among the strongest weapons in the game. However, its semi-auto function does come with some drawbacks.

“According to his August 24 video, the MCW 6.8, which was already considered a top-tier marksman, received a buff in the form of a higher rate of fire and a lower torso multiplier. This solidifies its place as one of the top choices in the Warzone meta.”

“The gun’s potential is hindered by frequent ammo glitches, as the 60-round magazine does not always appear in-game. However, its semi-automatic function adds a skill gap, making it a top choice for long-range TTK if you have proficiency with semi-automatic weapons. If you haven’t used this gun in a while, it’s worth giving it another try as it has recently improved.”

The timestamp is 7:30.

Despite its initial popularity, the MCW 6.8 has significantly decreased in usage. According to WZRanked stats, it is currently ranked as the 36th most popular gun in the game, placing it behind the DG-56, recently nerfed RPK, and Kastov 762.

Therefore, if you have expertise in using semi-automatic weapons, try it out. You will be greatly rewarded.
