My Hero Academia: Can Deku Get One For All and His Other Quirks Back from Shigaraki? An In-Depth Look

In the recent chapters of the My Hero Academia manga, Deku’s fight against Tomura Shigaraki resulted in him losing all of his Quirks and his arms. With All For One now inhabiting Shigaraki’s body, Deku was rendered helpless in front of the vile villain.

Luckily for him, Shota Aizawa and his classmates from Class 1-A arrived just in time to rescue him. Not only did they offer much-needed support to Deku, but they also assisted in recovering his arms thanks to Eri’s horn.

Therefore, many fans were left questioning whether Deku would also regain his Quirks, particularly given the capabilities of Eri’s Rewind Quirk.

My Hero Academia: Eri’s Quirk Could Hold the Key to Deku’s Recovery of One For All and Other Quirks

In chapter 420 of My Hero Academia, Shota Aizawa played a crucial role in Deku’s recovery by utilizing Eri’s horn to restore his arms. Eri, with the assistance of Ectoplasm, selflessly sacrificed her horn to save Deku’s life and entrusted it to Aizawa.

Despite Eri’s efforts, she was unable to store enough energy for her Rewind Quirk, resulting in it taking a couple of minutes for Deku’s arms to fully heal.

Despite lacking his Quirks, Deku is just as defenseless against TomurAFO (Tomura Shigaraki’s body with All For One’s mind). Fortunately, his classmates arrived just in time to offer much-needed support. However, many of them are nearing their limits at this point.

In their current condition, it is unlikely that they will be able to inflict significant harm on TomurAFO.

Considering the current state of the battlefield, Deku’s recovery of his Quirks is crucial if he hopes to defeat All For One once and for all. However, it should be noted that in chapter 417 of the My Hero Academia manga, all of his Quirks, including One For All, were passed on to Shigaraki.

Despite the apparent disappearance of Shigaraki’s consciousness and Decay Quirk after All For One’s re-emergence, it can be assumed that all of Deku’s Quirks still remain within the villain’s body.

Despite the previous impossibility of Deku retrieving his Quirks from Shigaraki’s body, the situation has taken a drastic turn with the help of Eri’s Quirk.

Using her Rewind Quirk, Eri has the ability to revert a living being to its previous state, enabling her to physically rejuvenate her target, heal injuries, and reverse any bodily modifications.

She possesses the ability to rewind a person’s body to a degree where they are completely eliminated from existence.

As such, it is theoretically possible for Eri’s Quirk to restore One For All and all the other Quirks within Deku’s body, including his arms. Considering that Quirks were originally believed to be enigmatic mutations that appeared in individuals, the Rewind Quirk should have the ability to revive a person’s innate Quirk even if it was previously lost.

However, it must also be acknowledged that One For All was not originally Deku’s Quirk; rather, it was bestowed upon him by All Might. Therefore, it remains uncertain whether Eri’s Rewind would have the ability to revive One For All.

Despite having numerous allies by his side, Deku is currently unable to defeat TomurAFO without his Quirks. Therefore, it is crucial for him to regain One For All and the rest of his abilities in order to stand a chance in the battlefield alongside his friends.
