The release of Chapter 425 in the Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #29 will mark the beginning of a two-week break for the My Hero Academia manga. Chapter 426 will then resume in the magazine’s issue #31, which is scheduled to be released on Monday, July 1, 2024.
The popular action superhero manga series, My Hero Academia, was created by Kohei Horikoshi and first appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014. Currently, the manga has 40 compiled volumes and has sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

Update: My Hero Academia manga set to return in July 2024
The official release date for My Hero Academia Chapter 425 is Monday, June 10, 2024. Prior to its release, alleged spoilers for the manga chapter were leaked online. Along with these spoilers, information about the upcoming break for the My Hero Academia manga was also revealed.
After Chapter 425 was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine Issue #29, Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga will take a two-week hiatus. The series will then continue with Chapter 426 in the Weekly Shounen Jump Issue 31/2024, which will be released on Monday, July 1, 2024.
Regrettably, the manga did not disclose the cause for the two-week hiatus.
It has been announced that Gege Akutami’s manga, Jujutsu Kaisen, will be taking a two-week hiatus after the release of Chapter 262. Unlike My Hero Academia, the reason for the break has been revealed by the dark-fantasy supernatural manga’s creator, Gege Akutami, who has apparently fallen ill. Fans should be aware of this development.
This fact was further supported by the reported spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 262, which reveal that the upcoming chapter will only consist of seven pages.
Despite the fact that the upcoming chapter of My Hero Academia manga will consist of 15 pages, it is important to note that this is not the norm. Although many fans are aware of the declining health of the manga’s creator, it appears that the break is not related to his health. It is likely that after the intense final battle, Kohei Horikoshi, the creator, simply wanted to take a more relaxed approach and thus took a two-week hiatus to recharge.
Regrettably, there is no way to verify this unless the Shueisha editors or the manga creator themselves reveal it.
