Since its serialization in July 2014 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, My Hero Academia, written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi, has released 40 volumes compiling its chapters. The series continues to be successful, with over 100 million copies in circulation.

The official YouTube channel of Shonen Jump held a special livestream event, known as Jump Press, on Monday, June 24, 2024. During the event, the Jump Press announced updates on various series such as The Elusive Samurai and Mission: Yozakura Family. However, the most significant news was the announcement related to the My Hero Academia manga.
The conclusion of My Hero Academia manga is nearing, with only five chapters remaining. The series will conclude with the release of chapter 430 in the combined issue 36/37 of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Monday, August 5, 2024.
Furthermore, the Jump Press released a statement from manga artist Kohei Horikoshi regarding the matter.
Firstly, Kohei Horikoshi expressed his apologies to his fans for taking a two-week hiatus. He explained that his schedule was facing several conflicts. Additionally, in regards to the announcement of the series concluding in five chapters, he was unsure of how fans would react. However, he hoped that they would still find enjoyment in the remaining chapters.
Despite the challenging workload, Horikoshi shared that he has been able to draw Deku and his friends for almost a decade thanks to the unwavering support from fans. As he approaches the final five chapters, the creator expressed his gratitude to fans and promised to reunite with them in Jump once again.
What Can We Expect from the Conclusion of the My Hero Academia Manga?
The conclusion of My Hero Academia is expected to bring closure to all remaining plotlines, beginning with the Todoroki family arc. Despite fans’ belief that Dabi had perished in his fight against Shoto, the recent events in chapter 425 of the manga suggest that the antagonist may have survived.
Furthermore, readers can expect to see a conversation between Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka about a crucial matter in the upcoming manga. In the previous chapter, Midoriya attempted to speak with Uraraka, but was interrupted. Additionally, the manga may finally uncover the truth about the mysterious character hinted at in the last chapter. Despite speculations from fans that the individual may be a villain, the manga has yet to confirm this.
