My Hero Academia Season 7: Possible Death and Revival of a Major Character

The highly anticipated 7th season of My Hero Academia is scheduled to premiere on May 4, 2024. The previous season concluded in March 2023, leaving fans on a major cliffhanger. After a year-long wait, the series will finally continue from where it left off.

Star and Stripe, America’s top hero, made her first appearance in the anime. This follows All Might’s plea for international assistance as Tomura Shigaraki’s transformation approaches completion. The upcoming Star and Stripe Arc, like its predecessors, is expected to be action-packed.

Based on the studio’s current pacing, it is highly probable that season 7 will encompass both the Star and Stripe Arc and the U.A. Traitor Arc. As a result, viewers can expect the adaptation to include the significant death and resurrection of a particular character.

The upcoming 7th season of Kohei Horikoshi’s series is expected to include the death and resurrection of Katsuki Bakugo. The deuteragonist will once again come close to death, but ultimately make a triumphant comeback, displaying his unwavering determination and ability to inspire hope.

In chapter 365, Shigaraki’s vendetta against Izuku Midoriya leads him to target Bakugo. His intense emotions drive him to plan a form of psychological torture for Deku upon his return to UA by presenting him with Bakugo’s corpse. This is due to Shigaraki’s past interactions with Midoriya and Bakugo, which allowed him to understand their close relationship.

Nevertheless, he failed to recognize the crucial factor – Bakugo’s determination and incredible growth. The blond’s latest technique, Cluster, focused the immense destructive power of large-scale explosions into a concentrated point at close range, inflicting long-lasting damage on Shigaraki’s rapidly regenerating body.

Nevertheless, this action required being performed at a close distance. Therefore, as Bakugo approached, Shigaraki delivered a powerful punch to his chest, causing his heart to be instantly ripped into pieces.

Despite the dire situation, the presence of Edgeshot proved to be a blessing. His Foldabody Quirk allowed him to stretch himself extremely thin and create a makeshift heart for the Hero-in-training.

As mentioned, the first episode of Season 7 will resume from where the previous one ended – with the arrival of America’s top hero, Star and Stripe. In response to All Might’s plea for international assistance, America will be sending their most powerful hero to provide support.

Shigaraki’s body is almost complete and with All For One (AFO) controlling the situation, their objective is to target her because of her Quirk – New Order. The Star and Stripe Arc is relatively short, spanning only 6 chapters before transitioning into the U.A. Traitor Arc.

To conclude the current season and prepare for the battles ahead, Season 7 is expected to end at chapter 405, ushering in the Final War Arc. This will be the longest arc in the series so far, with each episode adapting 3 chapters and a total of 25 episodes. This will set the stage for Season 8 to continue the story.
