The U.S. release date for My Hero Academia: You’re Next movie was announced during a panel at the Anime Expo 2024 on July 7, 2024. The movie, which was announced in August 2023, will be released on October 11, 2024. It will feature a new villain with a striking resemblance to the Symbol of Peace.
In January 2024, the movie released its first trailer and revealed that it will premiere in Japan. The animation will once again be done by Bones, the same studio responsible for animating the series and previous movies.

The film will make its debut in theaters across the United States on October 11, 2024, approximately two months following its premiere in Japan on August 2, 2024. Viewers will have the option to watch the movie in English dubbed with English voice actors or in English subbed with Japanese voice actors and subtitles. The first 15 minutes of the movie were also shown to fans in attendance at the Anime Expo 2024 during the panel’s announcement.
On August 3, 2023, the Shounen Jump Magazine announced the release of a new movie. The main antagonist, Dark Might, will be voiced by Kenta Miyake, who also voices All Might and Dagon from Jujutsu Kaisen.
The remaining voice actors will be reprising their roles, including Daiki Yamashita as Izuku Midoriya (known for his role as Ryuunosuke in Bleach), Okamoto Nobuhiko as Katsuki Bakugo (famous for his portrayal of Himmel in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End), and Yuki Kaji as Shoto Todoroki (recognized for his performance as Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan).
The upcoming My Hero Academia: You’re Next movie will feature the same staff members as the previous two films, with the exception of the director. Kenji Nagasaki will be replaced by Okamura Tensei, who has previous experience directing films such as The Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow from the Naruto franchise.

The mastermind behind the current crisis is Dark Might, a malicious figure who bears a striking resemblance to the Symbol of Peace, Yagi Toshinori (also known as All Might), a hero who has saved countless lives. In order to prevent the impending disaster, Deku and his companions band together to rescue the citizens from harm’s way.
