On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the team behind the Go For It, Nakamura! anime unveiled a new promotional video and visual, confirming its anticipated release window set for 2025. Alongside this exciting announcement, they introduced the main production staff for the show. Fans will be able to watch the series via streaming on Crunchyroll.
The anime adapts the beloved Japanese manga series created by Syundei, which was serialized in Akane Shinsha’s Opera manga magazine from December 2014 until August 2016. Following its success, a sequel titled Go For It Again, Nakamura! continued the story in the same magazine from June 2017 to June 2021, comprising two tankobon volumes.

The promotional video and visual for Go For It, Nakamura! were shared by the official website on Saturday, October 19, 2024. This short clip indicates that the boys’ love anime is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
During the New York Comic Con (NYCC) event on Friday, October 18, 2024, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream the series across various regions including North America, South America, Central America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the CIS, and the Middle East in 2025.
The promotional video introduces viewers to Okuto Nakamura, who experiences love at first sight for his classmate, Hirose. The clip highlights Nakamura’s introverted personality, as well as his awkwardness in social situations.
Additionally, a key visual for Go For It, Nakamura! has been released, showcasing Nakamura in the forefront with Hirose, Hifumi, Sou, Takeuchi, and other supporting characters around him. The visual captures Nakamura’s flustered state, with his cheeks flushed. Currently, details regarding the cast members remain undisclosed.
Production Team and Plot Overview of Go For It, Nakamura! Anime
The anime is directed by Aoi Umeki, who is also in charge of the scripts and character designs at Studio Drive. Yasuko Aoki will assist with scriptwriting and oversight. Naoki Yoshibe serves as the assistant director, while Ayana Tsujita is responsible for composing the music.
Further notable staff includes Harue Ono for color design, Tetsuya Tatamitani as concept director, Cheon Bok Lee taking on the role of art director, Toshitaka Kanda overseeing visual direction, Yusuke Ueno as the editor, Yue for color scripting, Yumi Nakamura handling costume design, and Yoshikazu Iwanami as sound director. Ayumi Nagaki leads the prop design and 2D works.
Based on Syundei’s manga, the Go For It, Nakamura! anime centers around Okuto Nakamura, a timid boy who instantly falls for his classmate, Hirose, captivated by his charm.
However, Nakamura faces a significant obstacle: he has yet to truly connect with Hirose due to his inadequate social skills, compounded by his clumsy demeanor. The series is set to explore Nakamura’s earnest efforts to forge a bond with Hirose and highlight their developing relationship.
