Witness accounts indicate that Alister was seen with her on the ship’s upper deck between 5:30 and 5:45 AM, compelling the FBI to label him as “suspect number one.”

However, complications arose from the fact that the ship was operating in international waters, which meant the FBI lacked jurisdiction to question Alister or the ship’s crew. In 2017, an unexpected call from Amica Douglas, Alister’s daughter, hinted at deeper family secrets. Her appearance in the documentary reveals her belief that her father may have more knowledge about Amy’s fate than he has disclosed. Amica recalls her mother’s words about the dramatic change in Alister after the trip; he reportedly returned with a bag packed full of photographs of “all caucasian women.”

This revelation aligns with Iva’s experience when she attempted to buy photographs taken of Amy on the cruise, only to discover they had already been purchased by someone else. Moreover, Brad remembers the cruise staff exhibiting a surprising interest in Amy, even encouraging her to visit Carlos’n Charlie’s, a bar in Aruba. While no evidence has confirmed whether Alister purchased those photos, Amica’s concerns were clearly expressed: “There are too many unanswered questions.”

When Amica attempted to confront Alister for answers, his puzzled reaction left her questioning his transparency. He has steadfastly denied any involvement regarding Amy’s disappearance.

Efforts by Ron and Iva to raise awareness about Amy’s disappearance took them to platforms like Dr. Phil and America’s Most Wanted, which resulted in fresh leads surfacing over time. A prevailing theory emerged suggesting that Amy may have been abducted and subsequently thrust into the Caribbean’s illicit human trafficking network.

In 2005, the Bradley family was presented with a series of photographs reportedly sourced from an online platform where individuals would interact with sex workers. Intriguingly, the woman depicted closely resembled Amy, prompting the FBI to conduct analyses of these images. Erin Sheridan, an FBI agent involved with the case, noted that a forensic analyst strongly believed one of the women in the photos to be Amy Bradley.

Further credence to this theory was lent by Bill Hefner, a former US Navy officer who alleged he encountered a woman in a Curaçao brothel in January 1999 who identified herself as Amy Bradley. She was reportedly in distress and sought his assistance. However, when people with her reappeared, Amy stopped communicating. Bill, concerned for his safety due to the apparent threats nearby, retreated.

Years later, upon seeing Amy’s picture in news reports, Bill decided to reach out to her family. The FBI proceeded to administer a polygraph test, which he successfully passed. Unfortunately, by that time, the brothel had burned down, resulting in the evidence evaporating without yielding any definitive conclusions.

Even though Amy Bradley was declared legally dead, the FBI’s investigation into her disappearance remains active. Currently, they are offering a reward of up to $25, 000 for information that may lead to Amy’s recovery as well as for the identification, arrest, and conviction of those responsible for her vanishing.
