Netflix Launching Canned Cocktail with Squid Game Drinks But There’s a Catch

Netflix has revealed plans to release a canned cocktail that will feature designs from popular shows like Squid Game and Talk Survivor, among others.

As summer approaches, Netflix is set to release new content in the upcoming months. In addition, the streaming service is now providing viewers with a way to cool off while they watch their favorite shows.

In a surprising partnership, Netflix has joined forces with Suntory to release a canned cocktail under the Horoyoi label. Known for its light, bubbly, and fruity shochu sours, Horoyoi is the perfect fit for this collaboration.

Nevertheless, for those eager to pop open a can, there is a catch – the collaboration is exclusive to Netflix Japan, so you may need to plan a trip if you want to buy one.

Netflix’s canned cocktail will offer a design featuring Squid Game and Love Village.

The newly released Horoyoi Netflix Cola Sour by Suntory features a cola base with a lower alcohol content of three percent, setting it apart from standard sours.

The cocktail will also be available with two different design choices featuring adorable artwork by Face Oka, a well-known illustrator. The designs will showcase characters from some of Netflix’s highly anticipated shows coming out in the fall of 2024.

The initial can pays homage to the much-awaited second season of Squid Game, showcasing characters donning their signature mask shapes. On the flip side, it highlights the Japanese reality TV series, Ai No Sato Season 2, also referred to as Love Village.

The second can contains two exciting programs, Talk Survivor Season 3, a Japanese crime drama and comedy reality show, and The Queen of Villains, a brand new series focusing on women’s wrestling.
