Season 2 Part 1 of Wednesday premiered less than a month ago, and anticipation for Part 2 is building – here’s everything you need to know about its release.
After a long wait between seasons, Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 was released on August 6, 2025, but the response has been lukewarm at best. Our review assigned it two stars, noting that “with tighter writing and a clearer tone, this could’ve been a solid movie. Instead, it’s a series that’s far too high on its own supply, trying so hard to mimic its early success that the show loses itself in the process.”
However, there’s hope for improvement in Part 2, especially with the debut of Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood.

The first part concluded dramatically with Wednesday being hurled from a window by Tyler, leaving her fate uncertain. However, the trailer for Part 2 suggests she awakens in a hospital with former principal Larissa Weems by her side. Although Weems has passed away, she serves as a spectral mentor for Wednesday as she strives to protect her best friend, Enid.
Viewers can also expect mysterious visions and tumultuous alliances to unfold, all amplified by the chaos released by the Outcasts. The season promises to dive deeper into Addams family secrets and possibly unveil connections to Rosaline Rotwood, whose ominous voice in the trailer warns of a “price to pay, ”hinting at potentially devastating developments.
Prospects for a Wednesday Season 3

Indeed, a third season of Wednesday is confirmed, with Netflix announcing the news on August 20, 2025, just ahead of the release of Season 2 Part 2. Gough stated, “Our aim for Season 3 remains consistent: to deliver the best season of Wednesday possible. We want to delve deeper into our characters while expanding the narrative around Nevermore.”Millar added, “Expect more Addams Family members and further revelations about their secrets in Season 3!”
