The Dice-Dice Fruit is one of the most dangerous Devil Fruits showcased in One Piece among the many. This particular Paramecia-type fruit grants its users the ability to morph into living weapons, allowing them to form razor-sharp blades out of their body, crafted from exceptionally durable steel. It was initially introduced in One Piece as the signature power of the seasoned assassin and martial artist, Daz Bonez.
Originally named Mr 1, Daz Bonez held the position of the Crocodile’s top subordinate and was considered the second strongest member of Baroque Works. He was the first formidable opponent that Roronoa Zoro faced upon his entry into the Grand Line. Additionally, the much-awaited One Piece Magazine Vol. 18 disclosed the appearance of the Dice-Dice Fruit, revealing a dazzling gem that has captured the attention of fans.

Despite the extensive display of the powers of the Dice-Dice Fruit in the series, fans were never able to catch a glimpse of its physical form and design. However, this changed with the latest release of the One Piece Magazine, a publication known for providing additional details on various subjects.
The lethal powers of this Devil Fruit are perfectly embodied in its design. It features a green stem connecting three banana-shaped sections, each with a white edge resembling a sharp sword and a bright blue side reminiscent of the blunt end of a blade.
The trademark swirling pattern, present in all Devil Fruits, is also evident in the Dice-Dice Fruit. Its resemblance to three blades is a clear nod to Zoro’s Three Sword Style and suggests a connection between this fruit and some of his notable enemies in One Piece, who also possess green hair.
A Devil Fruit for Deadly Fighters
By utilizing the Dice-Dice Fruit, Daz applied pressure on Zoro, ultimately leading him to enhance his abilities to an unprecedented level. This same Devil Fruit was also employed to enhance the fighting capabilities of S-Hawk, a cyborg designed after “Hawk Eyes”Dracule Mihawk, the very swordsman whom Zoro aims to surpass.
In Arabasta, Daz Bonez’s Paramecia abilities made him a formidable threat. He proved himself to be the second strongest member of Baroque Works by using his Devil Fruit powers to give Zoro a tough challenge. Despite landing multiple attacks, Zoro was unable to harm Daz’s steel-like body.
Despite Daz’s crippling moves that brought Zoro to the brink of death, the green-haired swordsman persevered and unleashed his willpower to endure his wounds. Through this, he was able to gain understanding on how to cut steel and ultimately turn the tides of the battle.
Despite being defeated by Zoro, Daz was still imprisoned in Impel Down. However, when Luffy initiated a mass breakout, Daz took the opportunity to escape alongside Crocodile. From then on, he remained a loyal right-hand man to Crocodile, aiding him during the Paramount War and accompanying him to the New World.
S-Hawk, widely recognized as the most powerful of the Seraphim, possesses an exact copy of Daz’s Dice-Dice Fruit. These cyborgs possess the indestructible abilities of the Lunarian Race and the unique talents of the former Seven Warlords, along with artificial versions of select Devil Fruits.
The terrifying strength of S-Hawk is evident as he was able to cleave Amazon Lily’s largest mountain in half with a single strike. Even Blackbeard, one of the Four Emperors, was forced to retreat after being hit by the attack, despite using Armament Haki to protect himself from serious injury.
Despite his formidable combination of abilities, S-Hawk was constantly thwarted by Roronoa Zoro in the Egghead Arc. In a way, S-Hawk appears to be a fusion of Zoro’s most well-known adversaries. The cyborg was constructed using Mihawk’s DNA, enhanced with King’s Lunarian powers, and also granted Daz Bonez’s Dice-Dice Fruit.
The Dice-Dice Fruit grants its users the ability to execute a range of lethal maneuvers and emerge unharmed from most adversary assaults. The fruit allows for any body part to transform into a razor-sharp blade, which can be augmented with the user’s proficiency in swordsmanship and martial arts.
