Microsoft has announced the rollout of Windows 11 build 26220.5770 (KB5064093) as part of its Dev Channel within the Windows Insider Program. This significant update enhances user experience by introducing new capabilities like the Click to Do functionality, an on-screen Braille viewer, and several improvements to the Windows Share feature.

It’s worth noting that Microsoft has updated the build versioning system: the build number now starts with “26220” in the Dev Channel, while the forthcoming 25H2 release will retain the original “26200” series.

On the same date, August 29, 2025, Microsoft made Windows 11 version 25H2 available in the Release Preview Channel under build 26200.5074 (KB5064081).This enablement package will transition the version number from 24H2 to 25H2.

Additionally, those in the Beta Channel can download Windows 11 build 26120.5770 (KB5064089) which mirrors the enhancements found in build 26220.5770.

Introducing Click to Do with Microsoft 365 Actions

In this update, both KB5064093 and KB5064089 enhancements now support Click to Do functionality, enabling the new “Convert to table with Excel” option. This allows users to transform recognized snapshots into Excel tables effortlessly.

Currently, this feature is available exclusively for Copilot+ PCs powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, and users must have the latest Excel version through a Microsoft 365 subscription. However, it should be noted that this functionality is not yet accessible for users in Europe.

Additionally, the Click to Do feature now allows users to “View Microsoft 365 Profile Cards”, displaying information about individuals when hovering over their details within a snapshot.

Enhanced On-screen Braille Viewer

This build also introduces a new “Braille viewer” as a component of the Windows Narrator tool, providing users with both textual and Braille representations of output, ideal for educational settings.

To access this feature, simply use the “Windows key + Ctrl + Enter” shortcut to open Windows Narrator, followed by “Narrator key + Alt + B” to activate the Braille display. Users should configure Windows Narrator for Braille output by downloading the necessary package via Settings > Accessibility > Narrator > Use a Braille display with Narrator.

New Options in Windows Share

The updated “Windows Share” interface now includes a “Find apps” feature, allowing users to easily locate the applications they wish to utilize for file sharing. If the app is not installed, users have the option to download it directly from the Microsoft Store.

Bug Fixes and Additional Changes

Alongside new features, Windows 11 builds 26200.5761 and 26120.5761 include several fixes:

  • Taskbar: Addressed issues with flyout misalignment on secondary displays and eliminated duplicate preview thumbnails when switching desktops.
  • Windowing: Fixed a crash in explorer.exe related to “ALT + Tab” functionality in prior builds.
  • Display: Resolved a bug where HDR settings would disable themselves after being enabled.
  • Audio: Fixed an issue causing temporary audio loss during casting to a TV.
  • Graphics: Updated the Windows OS Direct3D 12 version in accordance with Agility SDK 1.616.1.
  • Other: Corrected smart card driver failures (error 31), fixed a typo in the help list, resolved PIN confirmation issues while casting, and corrected tooltips in Task Manager settings.

However, there are known issues users should be aware of:

  • File Explorer: The “Shared” section may erroneously display in Home even if empty.
  • Settings: The scan for temporary files may hang; previous Windows installations might not be listed under Storage.
  • Audio: Some users are encountering audio issues due to corrupted or missing drivers (e.g., “ACPI Audio Compositor”).
  • Xbox Controllers: Connecting via Bluetooth may trigger a bug check.

To download and install this latest Windows 11 build, ensure your device is enrolled in the Dev Channel (for version 24H2, enlist in the Beta Channel) through the “Windows Insider Program” settings found in Update & Security. After enrolling, you can access the build via the “Windows Update” settings by enabling the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option and selecting the “Check for Updates” button.
