Excitement is building as another collaboration between Stranger Things and Fortnite approaches, coinciding with the upcoming release of the show’s final season. For players eager to explore the chilling realms of the series, this event brings the opportunity to step directly into the Upside Down.

The partnership between Epic Games and the popular Netflix series has a history, with the first skins making their debut in Chapter 1, Season 9. With the fifth season of Stranger Things scheduled to premiere on November 26, it seemed predictable that characters like Eleven would make a return.

Initially, fans speculated that this collaboration would emerge alongside the Chapter 7 update; however, Epic Games surprised everyone by announcing an earlier release.

New Map Featuring the Upside Down in Fortnite Blitz

Mark your calendars for November 21, when a brand new Stranger Things map will be launched in Fortnite Blitz. This smaller mode accommodates up to 32 players and is set to deliver thrilling gameplay.

Based on promotional trailers, players will have the chance to transition between their familiar dimension and the eerie Upside Down, the ominous realm central to the show. While available footage is limited, players will recognize villain Vecna’s iconic house among the few notable points of interest (POIs) presented.

However, it remains unclear whether the entire map will solely encompass the Upside Down or if players will have a capability to toggle between dimensions.

This collaboration also introduces new skins for characters previously absent from earlier crossovers. Players can expect to see fan favorites such as Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, and Will Byers, alongside the formidable antagonist Vecna.

While the exact release date for these skins in the in-game store is still under wraps, dataminers have revealed some exciting cosmetic details. For example, Vecna will feature a unique pickaxe crafted from grotesque vines, complemented by a Back Bling inspired by the infamous clock that played a significant role in Season 4.

For avid Stranger Things enthusiasts, this collaboration presents an opportune moment to dive back into Fortnite as we gear up for the final season. One can’t help but think that a dose of Kate Bush would be the perfect addition to heighten the immersive experience.
