Netflix’s latest Western series, Territory, is rapidly gaining traction in streaming popularity this week. Fans of Yellowstone are starting to notice several striking similarities between the two shows.

It’s not surprising that Territory is rising through the ranks on the platform. As viewers eagerly await the return of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, those captivated by cowboy tales are seeking a new fix.

However, many viewers can’t ignore the parallels, with one Redditor even posting: “Is anyone else tuning into the Australian version of Yellowstone?”

A fellow commenter quipped: “I chuckled at the ad. It seems like it might be awful, much like most Aussie TV (I’m Australian myself). The vibes are clear: ‘feel free to copy my homework, but don’t make it too obvious.’ It feels like a paint-over of Yellowstone.”
