On July 25th, ADOR, the agency representing NewJeans, announced that the music video for “Super Shy” , one of the triple title tracks from their second EP “Get Up” , had reached over 200 million views on YouTube as of July 23rd.
As a result, NewJeans has now achieved their second music video to reach 200 million views, after the performance version of their hit song “OMG”.
The music video for “Super Shy”achieved 100 million views in just 90 days after its release on July 7th of last year, making it the quickest NewJeans music video to reach this milestone.
The distinct sound of “Super Shy”is characterized by its jersey club rhythm and lively tempo. This song reached a peak position of 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 52 on the UK Official Singles Chart, making it a record-breaking hit for NewJeans.
Specifically, the track “Super Shy”was chosen as one of the top songs of 2023 by prestigious global media platforms like Rolling Stone and Pitchfork in the United States, and The Guardian and NME in the United Kingdom.
NewJeans have recently released their double single “How Sweet”and their Japanese debut single “Supernatural”. Currently, they are on a break to recharge.
