NewJeans’s Hyein Spotted With Crutches During Hiatus Due To Foot Injury

On May 26th, photos of Hyein from NewJeans were shared on various online communities. In the pictures, Hyein can be seen wearing a comfortable outfit and standing with crutches. Despite wearing a mask, her innocent appearance still radiated through.

Despite continuously receiving treatment for the fracture in the top of her foot that she suffered last month, Hyein was ultimately unable to participate in NewJeans’s comeback promotion for their double single “How Sweet”.

ADOR, the agency representing NewJeans, stated that Hyein may face challenges in taking part in their comeback activities. They explained that despite Hyein’s efforts to prioritize treatment and rehabilitation, her medical team has advised her to limit any activities that may put strain on her foot.

Thus, Hyein is currently taking time to rest and recover from her injury. Meanwhile, NewJeans, consisting of four members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and Haerin, is actively participating in music activities and performing at university festivals.

Despite Hyein’s current circumstances, both netizens and fans are showing their unwavering support by sending her encouraging messages. These include phrases such as “Wishing for a speedy recovery and seeing you back on stage soon,””I can’t wait to see Hyein perform again,””Stay strong and get well soon,””The extent of her injury must be more severe than anticipated,””My heart is broken by this news,”and “Sending well wishes for a quick recovery and return to activities.”

In addition, NewJeans is receiving widespread adoration for their latest double single, “How Sweet”. They kicked off their university festival tour at Korea University on May 25th and are set to perform at 6 more universities including Chosun University, Dongeui University, Pusan National University, Dongguk University, Sejong University, and Chung-Ang University. All proceeds from these performances will be donated.
