After receiving backlash for abruptly removing long-time members, including his friends, from the organization, NICKMERCS has finally spoken out about FaZe Clan’s reboot.
After FaZe Clan’s reboot on April 27, the top content creator was among the fourteen remaining FaZe members. FaZe Banks’ surprising declaration stated that the organization had removed the majority of its creators from the roster, including Rain, Blaze, and Cizzorz who had been with the team for a long time.
The organization has been receiving backlash from its former members and the larger gaming community since then, and many have been eagerly awaiting NICKMERCS’ response. After a brief hiatus, the Warzone streamer has finally returned and addressed the situation during his Twitch stream on April 29.
NICKMERCS stated: “I am not involved in the decision-making process, my phone is not receiving any messages, and I am unaware of what is happening.” He emphasized, “I have no interest in being involved in any drama or nonsense.”
Despite being a partial owner of the group, he stated, “I learned about it in the same way as everyone else. We had heard rumors about plans being made, but we didn’t know the details or who would be involved. I wasn’t even sure if I would still be a part of it.”
“According to him, the overall sentiment is that people desire a new beginning, a chance to start over and improve the system according to their own preferences, which is understandable.”
The timestamp is currently 23:50.
Despite acknowledging that FaZe member Nate Hill and his long-time friend and Warzone teammate Nio were the ones who hurt him the most from the group of members that were removed, the streamer still admitted to feeling the impact of their departure.
According to NICKMERCS, Nate Hill is a hardworking member of FaZe who has made significant contributions to the organization. However, ultimately it is up to the boys to make the final decision, not him.
Upon discussing Nio, Nick revealed that he was uncertain about his current status, saying “I found out like you all did.”He acknowledged that being a part of the team had been advantageous for him, but also expressed confidence in his ability to succeed without being a member of the organization.
Overall, NICKMERCS commented on the handling of the FaZe reboot, stating that it was not ideal but also not terrible. He acknowledged that it was impossible to please everyone and expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for being a part of it.
“Although it saddens me that some of these individuals had to learn the hard way, I still hold a special place in my heart for Banks and his friends. I empathize with the pain they endured.”
