Streaming sensation NICKMERCS has responded to allegations of cheating in ARC Raiders, particularly amidst a surge of hacks and glitches plaguing the game.

Cheating has been a persistent issue in multiplayer gaming since its inception, but recent years have seen a significant rise in the phenomenon, exacerbated by the advent of cross-platform play. Hackers frequently employ a range of tactics, including God mode cheats, wall hacks, and aimbots, to exploit opponents in competitive settings.

Until recently, ARC Raiders managed to maintain a relatively cheat-free environment. However, the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 have seen a troubling uptick in cheating activity.

NickMercs, known for his exceptional shooting accuracy, has been accused of cheating. These claims gained traction after he deleted a Twitch VOD, casting further doubt on his integrity, though he fiercely defends his gaming skills.

In response to the accusations, NickMercs stated, “If you’re playing on console, I don’t know what the hell is going on. I haven’t played this game on console. Historically, aim assist has always been stronger on consoles, but from what I’ve read, it seems to be the opposite in this case, ” Nick said.

He further criticized the detractors, who claim that their aim assist is “nothing” compared to his.“These dudes are hilarious, ” he continued.“Anyway, not cheating—I didn’t spend 20 years in competitive gaming to cheat against an ARC robot. So for anyone wishing for my downfall, guess what? The show goes on.”

As the cheating issue escalates, many players have voiced their frustrations, leading prominent figures like Nadeshot of 100 Thieves to remark that the situation in ARC Raiders has become “much worse” than what they experienced in Call of Duty’s ongoing battle against cheating.

The development team at Embark, creators of ARC Raiders, has taken notice of these growing complaints. They have committed to enhancing the anti-cheat measures and initiating a series of ban waves targeting offenders.

While initial enforcement actions have commenced, the gaming community remains eager for more robust measures to combat this ongoing issue.
