The situation escalated when numerous objects were hurled towards him from the stands. As a precaution, Speed’s security team advised him to retreat to the players’ tunnel entrance. It was suggested that the fans’ animosity stemmed from his choice of attire; instead of wearing a shirt representing the local team, he sported the jersey of Algeria’s national squad.
In his attempt to appease the crowd, Speed relocated to another section of the stadium. Unfortunately, the hostility continued, with fans still throwing objects at him. Despite the unclear motives behind their actions, an employee at the stadium informed him, “They like you, but they don’t like to be filmed. They don’t appreciate it, but they like you.”
Unconvinced, Speed retorted, “No, they don’t like me. You don’t throw water at somebody you like.” With the situation becoming untenable, security ultimately prompted him to leave the pitch.

Deciding it was best to exit, Speed remarked, “You can’t let stuff like that get you down. You can’t let that cancel out the whole stream. The whole stream, everybody was showing nothing but love. All of my fans showed love in Algeria, obviously. But at that stadium, I don’t know. I don’t know what happened.”
