One of the most legendary maps in the Call of Duty series, Nuketown, is making a triumphant return in Black Ops 7. Gamers eagerly anticipate its arrival as part of the new installment, which will feature an impressive total of 16 maps, encompassing a blend of fresh battlegrounds and beloved classics.

As with previous titles, the launch is just the beginning. Activision plans to enrich the game experience with numerous updates throughout its lifecycle. While many new maps will come via seasonal enhancements, Treyarch is giving special focus to the franchise’s hallmark map.

When Will Nuketown 2025 Launch in Black Ops 7?

During the highly publicized CoD Next event, developers confirmed that Nuketown is slated for release shortly after the game’s launch. Although a definitive date wasn’t set, players can expect its arrival before the Season 1 update, projected for December.

With Black Ops 7 launching on November 14, it is likely that players will be able to enjoy Nuketown within just a week or two after the game’s release. This timeline closely mirrors the treatment of Nuketown in Black Ops 6, where the map was introduced merely a week after the game launched, on November 1.

Upon its release, Nuketown will be seamlessly integrated into the map rotation for all applicable game modes. Players can also anticipate a dedicated Nuketown 24/7 playlist, ensuring ample opportunities to experience this iconic battleground, serving as a celebration of its storied return.

Nuketown has a rich history within the Black Ops franchise, making an appearance in every game since its inception in 2010. Over the years, the map has undergone various transformations, showcasing everything from a futuristic design in Black Ops 3 to a post-apocalyptic setting in Cold War (BOCW). Following the remastered versions seen in Black Ops 6, and taking inspiration from Black Ops 2, it is expected that the returning Nuketown 2025 will deliver enhanced visual and gameplay features.

In addition to Nuketown, fans can look forward to new maps arriving in future updates, including the confirmed Haven’s Hollow Warzone map, set to debut alongside Season 1.
