In her message, she explained, “I was competing in the Olympic Games yesterday and thought the reflection was due on Sunday, not Friday.” Her polite tone adds a touch of relatability to her esteemed status as an Olympian.

At only 22 years old, she is currently representing Canada in both the Team Event and the women’s singles competition at this prestigious event.

Schizas had a notable performance during the Team Event, achieving a sixth-place finish with a score of 64.97 in the women’s short program on February 6. This performance played a critical role in securing Canada a fifth-place position after the first day—key for advancement in the final stages of the Team Event.

Upcoming Competitions

The Canadian team is set to return to the ice for the women’s free skate component of the Team Event on February 8. Schizas will also participate as Canada’s sole representative in the women’s individual event, with the short program slated for February 17 and the free skate for February 19.
