Why Franky Deserves More Credit in One Piece

Franky’s One-Shot Victory Against Vice Admiral in One Piece 1112

According to the leaked information about One Piece chapter 1112, Franky, accompanied by Jewelry Bonney, Bartholomew Kuma, and Vegapunk Atlas, was en route to the hideout of the Giant Warrior Pirates. However, their travels were disrupted when three Vice Admirals of the Navy, known as Red King, Guillotine, and Pomsky, appeared with the intention of capturing Bonney.

In the ensuing battle, Franky was confronted by Vice Admiral Red King, a bald man who was easily recognizable due to his long neck and multiple chins. Red King utilized his mechanical arm to release a powerful punch, fueled by high-pressure steam. This attack, known as the Steam Knuckle, displayed enough force to decisively defeat one of Vegapunk’s Sea Weapons.

Despite his efforts, Red King proved to be no match for Franky. It only took one strike from Franky’s signature move, the Strong Right, to secure his victory in the battle. With this move, the Straw Hat Pirates’ shipwright was able to overpower Red King’s attack and ultimately defeat the Vice Admiral.

Reasons not to underestimate Franky

Despite only utilizing a basic technique from his repertoire, Franky’s achievement is even more impressive when considering his overwhelming defeat of Vice Admiral Red King with a single strike. This serves as a testament to Franky’s immense strength and further solidifies his superiority over Red King at the height of his powers.

It must be noted that although Red King may not be the strongest fighter among the Vice Admirals, it is certain that all members of this rank possess impressive combat abilities, including the mastery of Armament Haki and Observation Haki.

Ever since his victory over Vice Admiral Red King, Franky’s reputation as a skilled fighter has been cemented once again, following his recent defeat of Beasts Pirates member Sasaki in Wano. This is not surprising, as throughout the One Piece series, Franky has consistently proven his prowess in combat, utilizing both his immense physical strength and advanced technological upgrades.

Prior to the current narration, Franky had already proven his strength by defeating two CP9 agents, Nero and Fukuro, two years prior. Following the timeskip, he continued to showcase his superior abilities by easily overpowering Ikaros Much, Baby 5, and Buffalo.

Furthermore, he defeated both Senor Pink of the Donquixote Pirates and Sasaki of the Beasts Pirates. It is worth mentioning that Sasaki held a significant position within the Beasts Pirates, being a former New World pirate captain and possessing the abilities of an Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit, specifically the Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Model: Triceratops.

Despite facing a fierce battle, Franky emerged victorious against Sasaki. In comparison, Nico Robin struggled to defeat Black Maria, who was considered a foe on par with Sasaki, and only managed to do so with the assistance of Brook. Additionally, in the same arc, Franky easily defeated Jaki, an artificial Ancient Giant, with just one powerful blow.

Franky utilizes his superhuman strength to execute powerful boxing and wrestling techniques due to being a cyborg. This means his body has been enhanced with bionic upgrades, giving him increased durability and the ability to execute unique attacks like Weapons Left, Strong Right, Coup de Vent, and Rocket Launcher.

Franky’s most powerful move, the Radical Beam, is a devastating laser beam capable of causing harm to enemies much stronger than he is. As Franky directed the Radical Beam towards Big Mom, she quickly grabbed one of her Homies, created by the Soul-Soul Fruit, to use as a shield against the oncoming attack.

Despite her impressive Haki abilities and naturally resilient physique, Big Mom was unwilling to directly confront the Radical Beam. This was likely due to the unique properties of laser beams, as seen during the events at Punk Hazard when Franky’s Radical Beam was able to destroy a wall that even Sanji’s powerful kicks had failed to break.

Aside from his offensive attacks, Franky also possesses the ability to pilot a massive mecha constructed from durable and highly resilient Wapometal. This gives him exceptional defensive capabilities and formidable strength, allowing him to either use the General’s immense size to crush his enemies or utilize the General Cannon to blast them away.

Despite his eccentricities, Franky remains a dependable comrade for his companions. In fact, he is incredibly selfless and always willing to stand up for others. Perhaps this fiery nature is a result of his complete disregard for rules and societal expectations.

Franky’s boldness was on full display as he assisted Zoro in battling against King and bravely confronted Big Mom. When Sanji, Nico Robin, and Usopp were unable to inflict any damage on a formidable Seraphim, Franky fearlessly intervened and launched an attack on the Lunarian-powered cyborg.

During the battle, Vegapunk Edison had been watching in a state of complete relaxation. However, when Franky’s Radical Beam was unleashed, he suddenly became concerned about the potential damage it could cause to the Seraphim. This highlighted both Franky’s bravery and his combat effectiveness.

Despite the appearance of formidable foes such as Admiral Kizaru and Five Elders member Saint Saturn, Franky continued to shine as the Egghead Incident reached its climax. He never backed down from the challenge.

Despite Luffy being exhausted and helpless on the ground after his Gear 5 mode ran out, Saturn attempted to kill him. However, Franky acted quickly and pushed his captain out of harm’s way, saving his life. Although Saturn soon overpowered Franky, along with Sanji and Vegapunk, the cyborg’s bravery and timing were commendable once again.

Saturn was so impressed that he openly praised Franky as a prime example of the Straw Hats’ elite crew. However, when Bartholomew Kuma temporarily incapacitated Saturn and released Franky and the others from his control, the cyborg wasted no time and immediately unleashed his Radical Beam at the Elder.

Despite the attack blasting a massive hole through Saturn’s body, it was only a temporary triumph as he quickly regenerated from the injury using his powers. However, this incident served as a clear indication of the perilous capabilities of the Radical Beam. In the aftermath, Kizaru ambushed Franky with a powerful kick, propelling him through the air.

Despite the strength of the blow, Franky managed to withstand it and was back on his feet in just a few moments. While it must be noted that Kizaru’s power was not at its peak during this encounter, it was still an impressive feat for Franky to survive a direct hit from an Admiral unscathed.

Despite not having the same level of fame as Luffy or Zoro, the highlighted scenes served as a reminder that Franky should not be underestimated. His status as a formidable fighter remains unchanged. With his impressive feats and abilities, he can rightfully be considered the fifth strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates. This is a remarkable achievement in its own right.

In summary, Franky is a standout character known for his flashy and flamboyant personality that never fails to entertain fans with his unpredictable antics. While his behavior may seem surreal at times, Franky can always be relied upon, much like a funky older brother.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition to his impressive physical strength and determination, Franky also possesses a sharp intellect. Utilizing his engineering expertise, he masterfully combined his own technology with that of Vegapunk, resulting in an upgrade of his cyborg body from the outdated B-36 to the advanced B-37 model.

In addition, Franky displayed his tactical prowess by utilizing Sasaki’s vulnerability to defeat him, despite having previously destroyed his General mecha. As a resourceful individual who constructed himself, Franky is a prime example of the unconventional characters that embody Eiichiro Oda’s imaginative brilliance in One Piece.
