During the Wano Country Arc, his role in the franchise became even more significant when Luffy activated Gear 5. Zunesha, the colossal elephant that has roamed the seas for centuries, detected Luffy’s Devil Fruit awakening and proclaimed the return of Joyboy.
Despite this, it is only in the Egghead Arc where we are able to gain a better understanding of the historical figure. In Chapter 1115, Joyboy makes his first appearance as a silhouette and we learn about his close connection with the Iron Giant in this particular arc.
