Titled “Unable to Die, ” Chapter 1154 continues to elaborate on Loki’s past. The chapter’s cover page depicts Yamato joining Ocho at the grave of a hero from West Blue, who was raised in Ringo.

The narrative picks up from its predecessor, detailing the aftermath of Prince Loki’s exile in the Underworld following his birth. During this time, Elbaf faced a series of calamities, including the Big Mom incident, as well as disasters such as fires and famine.

Just when some desperate giants were on the brink of assaulting Ida and Hajruddin, King Harald appeared, offering his timely intervention. He sought external help to aid the struggling nation, yet tragically, Queen Estrida succumbed to her illness prior to Harald’s return. Eventually, Ida found herself running a bar in the Underworld.

Fifty-six years ago, Harald attended the Reverie at Mary Geoise yet returned to find that the World Government had disregarded his presence. Upon returning to Elbaf, Jarul informed him of shipwrights—both ancient and contemporary giants—who had allegedly fallen into the clutches of the World Government.

While Harald dedicated himself to the restoration of Elbaf, Loki was raised by Estrida’s sister, who subjected him to continual abuse. This maltreatment fostered deep-seated resentment within young Loki. Four decades ago, driven by his emotions, he released a horde of beasts upon the villages but later felt a profound loneliness when observing Hajruddin with other giant children.

Unexpectedly, the Rocks Pirates invaded the Underworld, questioning Loki’s knowledge of King Harald’s whereabouts. This encounter disclosed that Harald had, eight years prior, met Rocks at the Reverie—though their conversation was cut short when Rocks committed murder against a Marine Admiral, leading to his status as a notorious criminal.

Chapter 1154 finally unveils the full visage of Rocks D. Xebec, revealing him with striking two-toned hair and a resemblance to Blackbeard. In a shocking twist, it is disclosed that Rocks is indeed the father of Marshall D. Teach, better known as Blackbeard.

After a brief hiatus, One Piece will resume its regular publishing schedule, with Chapter 1155 set to be released next week.
