In an additional segment of One Piece Episode 1108, the anime reiterates that the clash between Shanks and Mihawk remains undecided. This episode reignites the debate over which of them is more powerful. Although the narrative has yet to reveal the true victor, it is undeniable that their fight was left unresolved for unknown reasons.

In a comment, someone mentioned that Shanks losing his arm and becoming weaker was an insult to Mihawk’s pride as a swordsman, which explains why Mihawk refuses to fight him. It is likely that many of us were aware of this dynamic between the two characters.
