Mangakas from popular franchises usually have regular breaks. For Eiichiro Oda, it’s every three chapters. This moment of respite, which is supposed to serve as a rest, is often used to do research that will help the plot or the drawing, or to devote oneself to other projects, such as adaptations into animated or live-action series.

The arrival of Dorry and Brogy on Egghead can only mean one thing: the end of the Egghead arc is closer than ever. One Piece fans have been waiting for Elbaf’s storyline for over twenty years, and it seems like the time has finally come to experience the Isle of Giants.
In chapter 1090, the Straw Hats and Vegapunk plan to escape to Elbaf, but are delayed by the siege. So it was only a postponement. Additionally, if Dorry and Brogy are aware of Luffy’s identity as an incarnation of the sun god Nika, it is likely thanks to the journal or Shanks, who was in Elbaf some time before.
